The PDP-11/04 computer uses MOS semiconductor memory and is housed in a 5.25" high assembly. Between 4K and 28K words of memory can be implemented within the basic assembly unit, which include expansion space and DC power for adding options.
The minimum PDP-11/04 includes:
- 4Kwords of MOS memory
- Automatic bootstrap loaded
- Self-test feature
- Operators front panel
The KD11-D CPU is implemented on a single board and supports 16bit addressing. No MMU, floating point, cache or EIS options were available
